anyway, i guess the girls will be so busy and tired, so i shall be the first to blog about the thailand trip!!!!
dats the boarding pass of my first trip alone. kinda scary, but its fun too. need to get used to traveling alone soon i guess. im definitely going to be the one and only one taking SIA alone all the time.

look at the rows and rows of expensive wine... goodness, i saw one on display at the price of $7000++++. so super damn expensive. i wanted to take the DFS signboard, but got told off by the security on duty, bleah.
we were early, and we need parents still need time to go look around for stuff within the departure gate so the 2 of us went around taking photos instead. nice scenes to take photos though :)

and so... we took off to bangkok in flight SQ 62 departure 1050 reaching in bangkok at 1130. checked in at First House Bangkok and headed straight to MBK for the 'zhu jiao fan' and tom yam soup! :) my mum's all time favourite when we go BKK.
ok, this pic's kinda disgusting. its my itch/rashes when we're at MBK. was at the games shop cuz my mum was checking out some games for his boss's son's PSP and my sis's game boy. and i quietly started scratching my hand when nobody was there to keep me company, and before i knew it... ta da!
proceeded to some handphone shop when my mum was finally done with the games, where its now my dad's turn to look at phones cuz his fren works there. stood there for a good 3-4 hours before he's done and went off with 1 new phone, 8 hp cases, my sister with 1 new ipod, and me with a pair of new earphones.
went to meet CS at some snack shop at MBK (cuz my dad's fren own the snack shop), and our family went for dinner with CS tagging along at some thai seafood restaurant that$another of my dad's fren brought us to. has some good feast of crab, fish, prawn, my favourite kangkong, crayfish look-alike, and some other dishes that i cant really recall. only remember me and cs eating until super full and end up having to bring back the unfinished feast back to hotel and share with the rest when they arrive in BKK.
the girls finally arrived!!!! met them at isetan building where they had their dinner and we went to Suan Lum Night Bazaarfor night shopping... huiting wasnt with us cuz she left for suan lum on a different route with her beloved and frens (one bunch of guys that i serious cant stand cuz they got serious attitude problem). we took tu-tu to suan lum and the girls was like screaming and shouting like nobody's business cuz they think its very thrilling to sceam for fun. poor cs have to stand our screaming... haha...

walked for few hours with only ah bee getting a hello kitty watch at 120baht. and we headed back to hotel cuz we're all tired out. great responsibility following up after we reached hotel: to finish up the leftover good food of the seafood feast. poh came up with the idea of scissors paper stone and the biggest loser will take the biggest pack. but we all concluded that its a very lousy idea. and so i came up with the everybody eat together, scissors paper stone and we'll eat in the biggest loser's room. and the biggest loser is........ me and huiting!!!! bleah. had some hard time trying to get the food down our gullet cuz its like midnite 2+am and we're all damn tired.
after the nite full of supper, JK was still go eager to wake up early in the morning for breakfast. according to poh, JK say he was VERY hungry (despite the late nite supper)! and so after the first plate full of mee hoon (or is it fried noodle?), he went for second round full of the same food. wat a PIG!
we proceeded on to chatuchak weekend market after breakfast. the girls left first cuz i gotta stay behind and wait for CS to come from his hotel. took bus there, which is CS's first bus trip eversince he went to thailand 6 months ago. according to CS, the atmosphere at chatuchak was damn bad cuz its very stuffy and hot. the kind that wun last u after 12 noon, but on the very day that we went, the weather was so good that we actually lasted till 1+pm, and we almost wanted to continue if not cuz we're going to platinum mall. and i got lots of things from chatuchak!!!! nice place to shop at cheap cheap price. could have gotten more stuff if we have more time. my only regret is not being able to get a bag together with the girls cuz we're separated. the rest of the girls went and got similar bags... growl.
took bus back again, this time with the girls cuz they neva take bus before. kinda thrilling experience at the rate my dad likes to cross the roads with heavy traffic as though he owns the road. mum always says he put our lives at risk. we're all damn amazed by how the locals can actually board and alight the bus as and when they like, even when the bus is moving.
took a picture with juanx cuz she managed to get a seat beside me, and spend time time comparing wat we got on the bus, exchanging 'pointers' :)
rest of the day spend shopping at platinum mall, shopped for a good 6 hours there cuz it was so super duper big with so many levels and shops. goodness, we only managed to cover 4 levels with fast speed sliding on the ground cuz we were too tired to walk properly. and we still level with at least 3 levels of shops uncovered. dats how amazingly big the shopping mall was.
dad brought us to traditional thail massage at chinatown after dinner. the girls though it was damn relaxing and shiok, but i tot it was rather pain. i was like enduring with the pain and ticklish feeling throughout the entire process that i totally cudnt relax at all. even my sis went for the massage can... kids nowadays, really enjoying good life.
mum had some issue about the tips incident cuz the person demanded from more after knowing that juanx actually have 100 baht. even bee was forced to give more. oops.. luckily mine dind asked me cuz i dind bring money out that nite. left my entire bag in the hotel since huiting dind wanted to go. she was so angry with her puay yee that she dind have the mood to do anything and wanted to stay in the room and sleep. but apparently he was already in our room when i got back. sunshine after the rain for her :)

the girls (juanx, poh and my sis) had some problem trying to fight who got the biggest head. and the winner is.... our beloved juanx!
interesting incident happened while we were taking the lift down to have breakfast. we (the girls and jk) took the lift from 10 floor, and were talking merrily away when the lift stopped halfway. one women was standing outside wanting to enter when my sister just blurt out something like 'cannot come in, *teh* (the overweight alert)'. and immediately when the women stepped in, the 'teh' sound did went off. we were like so damn pai seh, but we're laughing like mad when the doors closed... haa
last shopping day for the girls cuz they're on early flight next morning. so we're supposed to head for MBK for last stretch of shopping marathon. dad say we can go the 4-face buddha and walk along the streets for cheap stuff, so we decide to embark on some walking journey from hotel to MBK since its walking distance. dad decided to go back to hotel to take extra bag to contain our shopping stuff, so... taking photo time!

and so we continue walking, shopping and taking photos along the way. bought some food (or more like snacks) along the way. the girls say they want to buy some local food back, so we did. sis bought a bunch of miffy pens to distribute at home.

the 4-face buddha... dad say we can only take the buddha but cant take people in it. supposedly its not good for the people posing with the buddha. i guess its something about not being repectful towards the god.

something that i really cannot stand when it comes to going to temple is the smoke coming from the incense. it really irritates my eyes quite alot. dun remember it being so irritating when i was younger.
wanted to go to paragon for some steamboat lunch, but it ws quite crowded, so dad decided to bring us to MBK steamboat instead. but the touch-screen directory got the attention of our dearest huiting and got us all amazed. took a video of huiting navigating around the directory, which made us look like 'sua ku' idiots. haa. but i think its a pretty good idea for singapore to adopt.

finally reached MBK and went for lunch at MK steamboat. we haven started eating, but juanx cant wait to throw that 'xia jiao' (prawn dumpling) into her mouth...

my sis actually made a joke out of the red cute looking tissue dispenser. she said that those aunties and people selling tissue at our hawker centre will have problems with their business if they are at thailand. cuz the thailand side provide free tissues all over. the precisely because of the free tissue, those people dun exist in thailand. but singapore dun exist free tissues cuz they will be gone within 5 mins. haa

spend the entire day shopping at MBK. bought lots and lots of things. the only good thing about shopping at MBK is that we can actually leave our shopping goods at my dad's fren's snack shop and continue with shopping. the girls got different things to look out for, so we split up. eventually, we changed groups so many time. first it was me and ting, bee was with juanx and poh. then it was bee with me and ting. last it was me and bee only.
this photo kinda came as a classic bright idea of mine. bee couldnt find the mirror to check out her looks with the jacket that she intend to buy, and so i suggested taking photo of her then she look from there... kinda wondered how that bright idea can come from me :)
we all decided that our ultimate meeting up point will be my dad's fren's snack shop, and so... the girls were at the snack shop buying their hearts out with all their money. each ended up with one carton box on snacks. dat actually made us sound quite piggish. but doesnt really matter. and while waiting for them to settle their food stuff, i bought another 2 new bags.
return to hotel for unloading and proceeded to chinatown for some sumptous dinner of sharks fin soup. my dad's fren's restaurant. they used to sell each pot for 100 baht, but now upgrade to 300. and cuz my dad for discount, we managed to secure big pots of sharks fin soup for just 270 baht, with additional fried oyster with omelet, my favourite kangkong and another plate of big prawns. wohoo! dats like another big feast.
and obviously its just gonna be.... another talking photo session while waiting for food!!!

and here comes the big claypot shark's fin soup for 27- baht. and the sharkk's fin comes in pieces... not strands of shark's fin like in singapore. even poh who totally dislike the idea of eating shark's fin had a bowl of it!

not much of nite activities after dinner cuz we're all too tired from all the shopping, and we needa go back hotel to pack our luggages. they all decided to come to my room and pei me pack cuz im all alone waiting for ting to come back, and poh who stay next time me was alone cuz jk went out to find his fren. everybody was like so super amazed with my shopping loads cuz its just so damn alot of stuff bought. im truely amazed by how i can actually stuff everything into 1 luggage back without unzipping the extension for more space, not to mention that i actually had another bottle of liqour inside which my mum wanted me to bring back.
ended up taking self-timed photos with the girls in the room when huiting came back. spend like 30 mins taking tonnes of photos. goodness us... but all the self-timed photos are either in ting's cam or poh's. shall post them up when i got hold of them. slept at around 4 when the girls were supposed to leave at 8 when the mini van comes. dad actually managed to get his fren to drive mini van to bring them to the airport. 800 baht for 10 people to the airport is considered very cheap since a taxi trip can easily got to around 400 baht with paytoll. lucky them.
got woken up by juanx when she came knocking on my door at 7 to tell me that huiting dind come back to sleep cuz she concussed at puay yee's room. that stupid ger, went play at her bf's room and neva come back to sleep. me being so tired also dind realise that i actually slept alone in the room for the past 3 hours. goodness. and since i already woke up, might as well go eat breakfast with them cuz i cant get back to sleep. but by the time i finish bathing, they already finish breakfast liao.
dad said his fren wan him to accompany to the airport cuz she dind know the guys and girls, so my dad asked me to tag along since i already woke up. poor me, flight at 1650 alo need to wake up so early for them. aiyo...

i wanted to take photo of the sleeping JK and blackmail him for something good... only managed to take this after afew badly taken shots, which i tot this photo dind turned out good as well... thats the best i can go for a terribly shaking mini van.
throughout the entire thailand trip, CS and huiting actually combine forces to make fun of me and these yellow tee-s. its sort of their 'must wear' clothes when it comes to monday. everybody will just automatic wear these yellow shorts with the buddha logo on it. we're still joking on the van that we cant imagine ourselves wearing red and white every monday. growl... luckily there's no rules like this that we have to follow.
the van drove us back to the hotel, but the journey was terrible cuz we were caught in a traffic jam for 2 hours +... goodness, 2 hours can me from home to the seat in the LT. 2 hours and im still in the middle of the jam, yet to reach hotel. goodness, thank god for the 'ok' traffic system in spore...
left some souveniors that i haven managed to get for some people, so did some last min shopping with dad in the morning since i still have time before my flight. totally spent finish my thai bahts, so the last min shopping was all about dad paying. but i noe my limits, so i just bought things that i needed. its ok for me to finish spending, but its definitely not ok to continue spending dad's money cuz he'll still be in thailand with my sis and mum until 21st...
and since my flight was 1650, my dad suggest i leave hotel at 1250 cuz have to check in 2 hours before flight, and in case traffic jam, 2 hours of buffer. and wat time did i reach the airport? 1330. goodness.. thats alot of time to spare. luckily CS was there to pei me at the airport. good guy here, pei me from day 1 to the day i left. without complaints somemore.. haa. thats wat i call junior that deserve to be doted. haa...
and finally, here's CS: my greatest companion of the entire thailand trip. not just mine, but jk too. cuz he talked to jk quite alot. guys ma... talk while waiting for the girls lo... haa
its ok to be early for check-in. but its definitely not ok to be earl for check-in, and yet the check-in row opened late. growl... the row only opened at 1530 can... so long... i had problem trying to waste time in the super boring and nothing to see airport!!!! after check-in then have to enter the departure gate liao... dats when im really gonna be alone in a foreign land!!!!! sob!!!
so i just have to continue wasting time alone within the departure gate: go duty free, look at the shops, stroll from one end of the airport to the other end. and i still got 25 mins left!!!! wanted to buy a very nice L'oreal lipstick but not enough thai baht with me... tot singapore will have, but only to realise singapore dun have the number series that i saw in thailand DFS. so decided to msg my mum and asked her to help me instead.

took the flight alone, but luckily there's something call the krisflyer entertainment to keep me occupied. and unexpectedly, i actually had free show to watch right beside me. a couple was fighting with each other throughout the entire flight journey and i was like... trying to watch wats going on between them and wats appearing on my screen. initally they were like so lovey dovey, kissing and hugging... then they end up fighting and vulgarities exchange... haa.. kinda funny...
flight arrival time delayed cuz the pilot decided to tour around the singapore air due to the bad weather for landing. growl... stupid weather...
finally touched down in spore!!!! dind spend much time with the arrival hall cuz DFS was sp super crowded, and i was anxious about having to make qinhong wait for me to reach and collect my luggage.
believe in the power of 'out of sight, out of mind' cuz i definitely dind miss qinhong a single bit when i was in thailand. too busy with shopping and having the girls' and cs's company. but i really miss qinhong when i saw him... so ya... haha
dad told me to take bus home and i really did, not knowing that it was raining. and the rain was so super heavy that my luggage were all quite wet. umbrella that qinhong brought wasnt big enough to shelter 2 person and luggage, so ya. luckily the contents dind get the effect of the rain, so it was still ok :)
