back to school II

my very last day of MC serious ended with a bang! at least it is to me!

it was really an impromptu plan to make the trip back to school, even though i was thinking about it since thurs. always wanted to take some half day off from work to go back for food and catching up with people who are always so busy in school. but since im on MC anyway, and allan just asked me if i want to meet him for lunch, i tot i could just might as well make the trip back!

wanted to meet brother too, but he was said he was busy with his projects. made plans to meet alvin, but i ended up accompanying him doing his project at the library for 1 hour! he was supposed to accompany me around the school can! stupid boy!

thambi thought he was hallucinating for a moment when he saw me walking down the stairs in the library. until when he realise that i was really there and he was still amazed to see me there. he wasnt the only one who gave me that response though. reasonable for them to react the way they did. everybody was like "i thought u graduate already? you graduated le rite? how come you're [still] here?"

thambi was damn amazed by how happy and excited i was to be able to be back on school grounds once again. the feeling is seriously... great! super refreshing and shiok! its really the place for people to feel young and lively, and for all worries to disappear as though they werent part of your worries before. its like.. the feeling of returning home! wohhooo!!!! shiok!

finally had chance to eat my favourite mee siam from the malay stall, which i really think thats the only thing worth eating in the arts canteen. lunch at 3 with allan and thambi, and did some minor catching up. spent some time doing a survey for some dentistry students doing their fyp. as social sciences student, we do know the difficulty in data collection, and we'll definitely be nice to do it for them :)

its finding prof time! went straight to dr gana's office to check if he's there. had a great catching up with him and he did offer some help in my career if i need in future. he said i can look him up if i need help in furthering my studies when i wan to. he's really a damn nice prof with damn zai teaching skills. i seriously hope the dept will allow him to continue to stay, especially when so many good profs are leaving the dept already. i wonder what's going to happen to the dept when most of the profs leave. sadz...

spent the rest of my time slacking in the ref section of the library, waiting for time to pass so that we can all go for dinner. seriously miss burying myself in the midst of all the books.. seriously! not like i spent time in the ref section, but it really makes me miss school when i see so many people studying in the library on level 6. i used to be part of the mugging group in year 1-3. omg! time really flies!

dinner with some of the soci people like mark, ollie, thambi, lynette and this other guy from the masters prog. great time spent as always, gossiping about the gossip girl in the cohort.

its really great to indulge in reminiscence once in awhile, and to relive the lived experience to get urself refreshed! it makes me want to be back on school grounds again, as a student! the great sense of familiarity really gives people the sense of certainty and assurance. im glad i went back to school today. what a great way to end my MC break!
