his laptop officially died. i have been very nice and lend him my laptop for the time being until he gets one. i would think he will prefer it f he can borrow until he goes to the foreign land to study, but i think i kinda forced him to get one at the upcoming IT fair instead. not like i use mine regularly as compared to while i was studying, but the inconvenience comes in when i need to update my expenses or spending random time on the com. i haven been going to msn for a damn long time, i haven been blogging (not like i blog regularly anyway), i haven been ripping songs from all the CDs that i have bought, and the list goes on. i've been spending less time at home too.

dad is fine. all medical checkup indicated that he is totally and perfectly healthy. then the question comes in about him admitting and discharging, and even disturbing that the period falls exactly the same as my late grandmother. if all the speculation is true, i hope she gets the idea and start reflecting. otherwise, i dont think there's much hope for her.

my sis is getting married next year! exciting news at home and suddenly almost all the conversation at home revolves around her upcoming wedding and planning. as much as i respect traditions, and i will want mine to be as happening as possible, i dont believe in inviting all the 38 relatives whom i only meet once a year and not exactly very close. even more so if they only judge you by how many times you see them a year.

wedding is a big thing. it affects everybody at home. it cost a lot of monies. i was totally shocked when my mom said she needs to have 32 tables for her friends. shouldnt it only concern my sister and her boyfriend? i mean i do understand that parents need to invite their friends, but 32 tables for her friends, that is crazy. im really praying hard that the same situation doesnt happen for mine. my sisters are all labelling mine to be the century's anti-social wedding. my to-be-wedded sis says only unseenable weddings (aka shotgun or old cow tender grass) dont invite relatives and parents friends. im not saying im not going to invite relatives at all, but i just dont see the need of inviting not close relatives and my parents' friends (at least not soo many). my boyfriend doesnt like the idea of inviting so many people as well.

its so troublesome.

you have to find auspicious dates otherwise the elders will not be pleased. you have to invite so many people otherwise your elders will not be pleased.you have to ask your sisters to be jie-meis otherwise your elders will not be pleased. you have to satisfy your elders other they will not be pleased.

when they are not pleased, they basically dont give you their blessings. they gossip about you for as long as they can remember, for every time they attend a wedding, for every time they see you.

and what about you?

you have to find a bridal studio. you have to find a hotel that can accommodate all your wishes and their requests. you have to do all the planning according to others. you have to experience big headache and a totally burnt wallet and over limit cards debts because costs and wishes always goes the reverse directions.

hey! its that your wedding?
