Farewell

Bestie at work has left and we've spent a lot of days working late and going out for lunch or dinner together prior to her departure. The usual 3 or 4 of us is going to be down to 2 or 3. One less good company at work. Its amazing it can be problematic to find company for lunch in the office of 100+ people and one bestie down is makes lunch even more problematic.

When the issue of departure is at heart, there is simply too many things to be concerned about. At your old place, you need to think about handing over, about whether you have done a good job so that people taking over is not going to face too much of problem, about completing all the things that should be done, managing the emotions of yours and others, and the loved ones being left behind.

At the new place she's been very concerned with what kind of colleagues she will have in the new place and whether they will be as fun as us. Too boring, she scared. Too wild, she also scared.

People say its always easier to be the person leaving but I think in a lot of sense, it's easier to be the one being left behind. And that is provided you're not the last one standing.
